be afraid. be very afraid

Happy Halloween! In honor of this wonderful day, I have more items to FRIGHTEN you. Look at this sweater that I knit and designed all by my lonesome about 20 years ago (front on left, back on right):

Mwahahahaha!!!! If it gets any colder here, I might be forced to wear it! Now THAT would be scary.
By the way, my parents give out FULL-SIZE candy bars (usually packets of M&Ms).

Is PeeWee there to show scale, or to illustrate the general weirdness of the ’80s? The sweater motif looks like some of the strange, pixel-ey looking video games of that era, too 🙂

WOW! Talk about blast from the past. I especially love the PeeWee Herman toy. I am afraid, very afraid. Happy Halloween!

Actually, I could see that sweater selling for a pretty penny at a fancy schmancy kids’ clothing store. …You’re always been tiny — think it will fit Kai soon? I hope Portland is treating you well! And oh — HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! (Where did Taya find sour candy corn? That sounds excellent!)

Dude, that sweater rocks!! I want it! Your chia pet hat was a hit today…my head was so nice and toasty! Thank you for all of your wacky creations over the years! I still wear the pink and orange ameoba sweater a lot!!

Marge – I love the sweater! Please wear it while you are here.
Beth – the sour candy corns came from Cracker Barrel in Erie, PA.

Maybe you’ll start a trend of bloggers showing their ’80s creations. Maybe not. 😉

Okay, now I remember you from college. There may have been 40,000 students, only one sweater like that!

You know, Pee-Wee’s into knitting. I have a sound clip on my blog page of Pee-Wee saying “knitting…ah-and knitting…ah-and knitting…” My sister chants it to me every time she sees me knitting.
