inspiration

I went on a major field trip today with genius Mrs. H. She came at 8:45am, and we headed out to the Fabric Depot. Imagine if you will a building the size of a car sales showroom (or airplane hangar) FILLED with all things crafty (and a selection of international foods. I’m not kidding). The place has no windows or clocks, so you can totally space out and lose track of time (which we did). Here we are in the ribbons section:

And in one section of notions. Notice the giant sign above? It says FAKE FURS, I think. That cart? It’s ours.

After the Fabric Depot we went to the Yarn Garden and oohed and aahed at everything. I was good, though, and only bought the most recent issue of Interweave. We then went to lunch, and it was 3pm! How did THAT happen? Here’s my stash from the Fabric Depot. It’s all for gifts:

Now I must go rest. I think I’m catching a little cold (which wouldn’t be surprising, considering it went from 90 to 30 in a matter of days, but oh, it’s still 90 inside the house because my father thinks it’s chilly), and I must be in good health for tomorrow’s excursions!
