I finished the orange cap I started the other day, but, um, it doesn’t really look like any of the hats in the Vogue Knitting! I was unable to get a normal angle on the hat as my photographer was at a city council meeting. Here’s the general idea:
I think I will send it to Megan, since she needs more hats.
I barely survived the 25 hours with no sugar. I messed up, though. I wasn’t supposed to use toothpaste, since it has some sort of sugar stuff in it, but I totally forgot. It was DREADFUL going without sugar and its relatives, mostly because I was not prepared and didn’t have veggies or meats and other allowed foods. My head still kind of hurts, and I don’t feel 100 percent. Maybe I have a touch of the flu (egads, that is what my father says on a DAILY BASIS).

I thought that you spit toothpaste out rather than swallow it or maybe some of it gets absorbed through the fleshy parts of the mouth (like some sublingual tablets). Thankfully, (so far so good) my migraine days are pretty much over. It was mostly stress related migraines however food might have had a hand in it. Hope you make it and your head feels better (please don’t even talk about flu this early!).
Hey Mariko, I’m sorry to hear about your migraine. You poor thing. I used to get them and I went to ER a couple of times. There is a great drug called Imitrex which works on true migraines, like immediately. If you are still having a headache today – hey, maybe it’s a sugar withdrawal headache? Get a massage in case the headache comes from tight neck muscles. Take care of yourself, excellent eggplant girl.
Love the hat, girl. And I LOVE that your father wants a poncho, too. That made me do that snort-laugh. Hee!
Okay, if it’s sugar, you need a second opinion. Sugar is good…Well I hope it’s not sugar. Maybe it’s housecleaning or car washing or god forbid LAUNDRY. Okay, seriously, do you feel better without sugar? Did you go to the doctor or allergist? I still like the massage idea, the pedicure is just for show…
The hat it great and dare I say, sweet! Looks like it could be the latest fashion in snowboarding.
Hey there, been lurking for a while and since I am also a migraine sufferer, figured it’s time to speak up. I cut sugar *completely* from my diet in January of this year, and guess what – I have not had a single migraine since. And for the record, I’ve suffered migraines every few weeks since I was 7, and I’m 38 now. Hmm. Think your acupuncture/pressure person is on to something!
