La la la, what shall I blog about today? Lest you all think my devotion to Peeps is but a passing fancy, may I present you with this:
Yessir, I am a bonafide member of the Peeps Fan Club!
And you were all right. My mother meant FOOTBALL when she wrote “hoot bool.” I have a whole list of her fun spellings. Do you know what Valentine’s is? It is “romanchick.” And the little sweet breads I baked a while back? “Hot closspan.” Now I dare any of you to look at a hot cross bun ever again and not think, “Well, that’s a mighty fine looking hot closspan.”
I did get some very helpful information about the Big White Gap that results from not posting daily, and I have taken it under advisement (meaning I sent an e-mail to my brother demanding that he fix it. I could probably do it myself, but html makes me kind of dizzy). Anyway, thanks for the info, Mary and Kristin!

I saw Valentine peeps (two big pink hearts in a box) today and thought of you.
Unfortunately I don’t think they mail well…
LOL – that’s funny about your Mom & her spelling. My Chinese Dad pronounces words, how do I say, uniquely. For instance “alumni” has been known to be said by him as “a-loo-min-eye”. Huh? I like your blog BTW, even with the Big White Gap.
your mom sounds really cute, wish she was going to be in tokyo a little longer. maybe next time. maybe next time you’ll be with her!! and yes, blog daily please!
I love your mom! And I love you too!!! Is it the 19th yet???
An official peeps fan! You are cool 🙂
CURSES to Mary and Kristin. I much prefer the daily postings. Oh and I tried to find the spyrograph fabric but couldn’t. Pout. And more curses directed towards Mary and Kristin
My daughter calls polka dots “poka pots.” She has a pair of pink polka pot pajamas. “Pinkpokapots, mama!”
I love your outfit. Makes me hungry for ice cream, for some reason.
My husband (a tax software programmer) worked with a sweet woman from Hong Kong who would say, “Do you have your estimated tax wouchers (vouchers!) ready?”
p.s. Peeps rule. But you knew that already.
I just noticed your “Stitches West or Bust” button. Please, please add me to the list. I’ve already asked for the Friday off work – Oakland, here I come!
Love your blog.
Always liked Peeps. Only I guess I liked chocolate better, because when I was little I always tried to eat the eye of the peep first! Not a very satisfying experience. How’s bpt coming? (that name makes me think of a bronx cheer) My Dad’s spelling faux pas: he once spelled mall (as in shopping) – maul. He’s got a Master’s Degree (said in Mr. Science voice)
Mariko – I just ran across this article which is pretty interesting:

It sounds like your mom is contributing to the natural evolution of language!
