Looky what came in the mail yesterday:
Knitting and sewing guru Mrs. H* sent me some fabric goodies. The orange stuff is cotton lycra!
I decided that I had food poisoning rather than the flu. Without going into too much detail, let’s just say that my body has been rather intent at, well, purging. I don’t wish food poisoning on anyone. It was horrible, and though I have pretty much recovered, I still have prickly tummy and am weakish.
*One of Mrs. H’s daughters is the NPR reporter Emily Harris. You may have heard her reporting from Baghdad? Well, she was also on Car Talk last week, which Peter and I thought was incredibly impressive!
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
[Thanks to Heidi for telling me about the heart generator. You can get it here.]

cute fab! whatchya gonna make?!!
glad you’re starting to feel better, regardless of what made your tummy turn inside out and upside down.
OMG! That fabric is to die for! I cannot wait to see what comes of it. I love the way cute prints and the bold colors of summer.
Ahh, I’m glad you’re feeling better now!
oh btw, it’s /heartmaker not /heartgenerator.
oooh – that bikini fabric is just gorgeous. Cant wait to see what it turns into, its just too cute for words!
Bad luck on the food poisoning, its horrible isn’t it? Hope you’re feeling better soon..
Happy Valentine’s Day, Mariko!
I think the worst thing about food poisoning is the strong aversion you develop to whatever it was you ate before you felt ill. Hope you are feeling better.
I was on Car Talk. It was very fun.
Thanks for sharing that heartmaker. Still on an old mac so I can’t see your .bmp heart, but will check again on Tues at work. I watched a sewing with nancy show today and she was doing a quilted landscapes show. I was just thinking that the bikini fabric could look really cute in some sort of seascape. Have a Happy Valentines Day!
Spring is so much closer for you than me. The torment…..
Glad you are feeling better. Happy Valentine’s Day!
That is so cool! Thanks for sharing ;}
CUTE fabrics!
You know, I heard Emily on Car Talk last week. I thought it was so cool that she called in from Iraq that I actually told a few other people about it later that day. Didn’t know about the crafty connection you have with her mom, though. Small world!
