What’s this? No, I haven’t been playing around with graphics programs and changing the color of my Frango box. Carolyn said that she “may have accidentally” sent something else, and today this landed on my doorstep: LEMON LIME Frangos. Can you believe it? I think this is the best accident that’s every happened! Merci beaucoup, Carolyn.
Please listen to CarTalk this weekend! My friend Janice’s husband Christopher (ooh, say that three times fast!) is going to be on talking about the problems with his Saab. He is also going to be on Stump the Chumps, which means he’ll be on again in a couple of months!
Thanks for the group therapy session on my peppermint candy sleeves. I have been doing the M1s correctly, but I must have some special powers that are causing them to form in an undesirable loopy manner. I will do my best to boss my knitting around, but alas, I am no Bonne Marie! Off to work on that third sleeve now …

Oh, I do love those Frango boxes. And there is something about that word that makes me want to trill the “r” when I say “Frango” out loud. Frrrrrrrrrango!
P.S. I think your M1’s look fine and not loopy at all. But if you would like them to be a bit tighter, why not try working the stitches in the round right below where you will work the increases a bit more loosely than usual? *Then* work the M1’s themselves (in the next round) tightly. Pulling up the horizontal bar will tighten up the stitches in the row or round below but the M1’s will remain even.
P.P.S. Going to try to hunt down some graham crackers so I can make s’mores!
I really love the peppermint stripe sleeves! Who was selling that yarn at Stitches? I would loved some!
Now I’m desperately craving s’mores….. I might try them in the stove, but I might also screw them up. Maybe I’ll just wait for beach weather and bonfires….
hi!
i love your website and read it everyday! i was listening to NPR this morning and i totally heard you friend’s husband talking about his saab and how the mechanics told him to start his car and let it run for 60 seconds or something! i thought it was funny, because that’s the first time i listened to that program — then i went up to work and checked your site!
So I ended up here blog surfing via ChicKnits…and I love your site. Did you know that frango means chicken in Portuguese? I thought that someone sent you fancy chicken-flavored candies, which would be very wierd.
