It was a gorgeous day on my final full day in Portland! I went with some friends to Posie, a very cute little boutique with many handmade items. It’s always great to see a genuinely nice and very talented person pursuing a creative career!
And here’s some more creativity:
I had heard about how great Pix Patisserie is, but I didn’t think I was going to have the opportunity to go there. Lucky for me my parents like the Japanese restaurant that is next door to Pix. Insane brother talked me into checking it out, and we brought home those three goodies. One is a lemon tart, one is some sort of chocolate ganache-filled creation with a dark cherry in the center, and the menage a trois tart has orange-vanilla creme brulee and chocolate and good goo (I can’t remember exactly). Mmmmm.
Portland has been great, but I miss Peter and Deedle, so I’m looking forward to heading home tomorrrow (though I wouldn’t mind moving to Portland one of these days … ).

Travel safely, dear…. You’re coming home to GREAT weather……
Those pastries look extra yummy! And I can’t believe that your brother had to convince you to go in. No one would have been able to hold me back. Although, that menage a trois tart sounds a bit odd… Seems like too many flavors rolled into one, but if you say it’s good then I take your word for it. 😉
Tell me about it – I would LOVE to move there! Portland rocks! I am planning a trip up there with Mark before the doctor forbids me from traveling. So we’ll be up there in June – can’t wait. I have a trip to Rejuvination HW planned. Have you been there? I need to get the lowdown on places to go from you – you always find the coolest new places when you go up. I think we’re staying at the Lucia again downtown. Love the restaurant next door (Typhoon I think is the name?). Anyhoo – enough babbling, but thanks for posting about your travels~!
Have a safe trip home – glad you had fun!
I’m glad you had such a great trip! But it’s nice to come home to the ones you miss, too 🙂 I’m heading up to PDX next Wednesday, can’t wait! Have a safe trip home.
Those pasteries look and sound so yummy! I’ll have to check them out the next time I drive down to Portland!
jeez…can’t come to this blog without getting hungry! Those pastries look SO good. It’s after midnight and now you’ve got me tempted to run through the streets of brooklyn in search of sweets. Juniors is only three subway stops away…hmmm…late night cheesecake run? If I go, it’s your fault, just so ya know.
Marge –
I enjoyed your visit so much! I am energized every time we spend time together. You make each little outing and event and special occassion.
Thanks!
Posie is one of my favorite online boutiques! I love browsing her vintage-inspired creations.
I am now hungry for some pastry. Please excuse me while I head off to the local patisserie…
