It’s my falaisure

Yay, my Phildar Falaise yarn arrived today from Canada!

Phildar yarns seem to be very difficult to locate in the US. A quick search led me to Aunt Debbie’s in Chillwack, BC, and a quick call secured my yarn! I just need to wait for the pattern to arrive from Becky, and then I’m good to go. The sweater I am going to make is Phildar 366, otherwise known as the Becky Wanna-be Sweater by a bunch of online knitters.
Dede went to the vet today for her annual check-up. She was supposed to have two vaccination shots, but the vet and I discussed my concerns about overvaccination of animals, and we agreed to put Dede on the 3-year plan. Yay for Deedle! She was very, very good, and she did not growl or try to eat the vet’s head today (yes, she’s tried before).

yay! Another falaise super retro chic stripey sweater. The pattern should be there any day now; I posted it last Saturday 🙂

Wow, thanks for linking to a place that sells Falaise! Somehow I didn’t find that in my searches. How much does one need for that pattern? I’d really really like to make one of those sweaters too, only Becky hasn’t gotten back to me on that just yet.

You can easily get Phildar products in Canada! I buy from these stores all the time. http://www.knit-n-stitch.com – crappy site but if you phone, 1-800-565 KNIT, they have the whole Phildar product line. Other no website stores that sell Phildar are Touch of Wool in Vancouver 604-224-9276 and Homecraft 604-738-2614, also in Vancouver. And http://www.ramwools.com has some Phildar. The best selection is at Knit n Stitch.
if you know what you want all these places can get Phildar for you.
