I have been participating in Secret Pal 2, but my poor secret pal had the punes all summer and was unable to send me anything … until now!
Lots and lots of goodies, and each item placed in there with thought and care! My secret pal is Sharon of Ewe ‘n’ Me Country Crafts in Ohio. She made the soaps and the stitch markers and the YARN. It is handspun and dyed (with Kool-Aid). Here’s a closeup:
Gorgeous, isn’t it? I’m thinking maybe a hat or some mittens. Hmmm. So much fun stuff. Thanks, Sharon!
WALLET INFO: Some of you asked about a wallet pattern. I made up the pattern, but it’s pretty basic, so I can probably put together some instructions at some point, hopefully soon. My instructions will likely be kind of convoluted, but I’m sure you clever people will devise craftier ways to build the wallet. As for the plastic stuff, I got the 2nd lightest weight plastic at the fabric store. I think it was 8 gauge? Can’t remember. Something stiffer might work even better.

The pink yarn might make a lovely “boobie” scarf from the Knitty surprise! Very pretty.
That yarn looks good enought to eat- like Strawberry Ice Cream! Just beautiful! Great job Sharon!
What a thoughtful gifter! Love the pink yarn..
The pink yarn is so pretty. Have fun with all your goodies!
Wow. What a great present! ^_^ I love the yarn – such a great colour pink.
I am so thrilled that you love all that I put together especially for you. I really wanted to send some things that you can’t buy in a local store to make this special.
You are the very first to receive some of my dyed handspun. I am going to begin selling this online and at local farmers markets, art/craft shows and next year…. fiber events I have been asked to participate in.
So… knowing that you like the handspun and so many nice comments posted here has given me inspiration to move forward with plans to begin selling now instead of waiting until spring. This shall be fun!
I still have a few more things I want to send…. but did not have them completed in time for this package. So… more will be sent soon. For now enjoy these little goodies I have sent.
Beautiful handspun Yarn & stich markers! Does anyone else not know what the punes are?
fantastic stuff to find in your mailbox! is the yarn as soft as it looks? yummy pink color!
saw some cocoa halloween cat peeps and immediately thought of you! hope you can find some in your local store, they look delish.
have fun in portland!
That pink yarn would make awesome mittens! And I love your wallets.
What the heck are the “punes”? Nice package, though.
