My brother told me I had to post something to see if his computer works (he moved stuff around or something), so here it is. Anyway, who doesn’t love Sharpies? They are definitely on my list of best-ever inventions, and they keep improving! Hello PASTEL Sharpies and RETRACTABLE Sharpies:
A pink Sharpie. It just doesn’t get much better than that.

pastel sharpies!!! oh I am SO going to officemax today!!
I just saw the pastel Sharpies at Target today. Too cool. I love me a good office supply.
Sharpies are indeed the best! I only wish the “Very Fine” ones were as available as the Fine and Ultra Fine. But Pastel ones?!?! I must go find….
I also love a pink Sharpie. FYI, I heard that you shouldn’t write on your burned CD’s with them anymore because the chemicals can wear away the data.
a friend just sent me a retractable FUSCHIA Sharpie, which I am just in love with. though now I’m curious about this “don’t use them on your cds” thing — will have to investigate…
I beg to differ. A gold Sharpie just might edge out the pink…
i LOVE sharpies!! i especially like the super skinny-tipped ones. i bought “bold” and “pastel” colors in those (foudn ’em at walmart). they’re cool. i’ve seen the retractables, but only in packs of everycolorunderthesun and they want a zillion dollars for them. 🙁
and big FAT ‘professional’ sharpies to write on wood and plastic – i don’t know why writing on wood and plastic is considered ‘professional’ tasks?!
My local 99 cents store called Banzai(unfortunate name) has packages of a dozen Sharpies for $1.49. I couldn’t believe it. It is also the cleanest, best looking 99 cents store around. I think they’re franchises. They carry mostly great Japanese goods.
I started reading your blog recently while looking for knitting ideas, and have been enjoying it so much that I “drop in” every week to read your new adventures (esp. on the candy front). I’m glad to hear that someone else shares my Sharpie addiction. I recently had to invent an excuse to go buy the 12 pack with the new colors (berry…lime..aqua…where will it all end!)
Ooh. Pink sharpie. If it came in Kelly green then life would be perfect. Are we just suckers for cute things or what?
retractable sharpies!!! We actually have the voicemail message fromw this summer when I first found them in Canada and called my daughter…I have one in every color!!!
