Peter has been needing a bag in which to tote around his swimming gear, so I made him one!
I had all the fabric in my stash. The mesh stuff I bought years ago. The sides are Sunbrella. He says his stuff fits perfectly, and since his new prescription goggles arrived today (I stepped on the last pair and broke them), he can go to the pool and be stylin’ (and be able to see).
wow that is so spiffy! i have absolutely no need for a mesh bag in my life but after seeing yours i want one!
that is so awesome. it looks store-bought! great work. -t
You MADE that? Are you kidding? That looks as good as anything in a sporting goods store. I’d resent you if I didn’t admire you!
Wow. That looks amazing, Mariko. I especially like the custom Super Eggplant label. What source did you end up using for your labels?
that so cool! i got crank up my sew’g machine.
Wow! Prescription goggles are so affordable! Thanks for the great link. I’ve been wanting a pair for at least 10 years now…
I love the label, too. Hope you’ll post who you ended up ordering from. Nice job! (Did you design the bag, too or use a pattern?)
The super eggplant labeled bag is amazing.
Beautifully done, Mariko!
Freaking awesome! When are you going to open your own business?
that is so awesome! i love your sewing projects… you’re making me want to rush out and buy that serger that i’ve wanted for 12 years…
you are so awesome! i wanna be like you when i grow up. 😉
I’ll bet Peter is thinking that sewing machine he got you for your bday is the best gift he’s ever given. I mean–he’s reaping such great rewards!
the super eggplant label really adds a little zing!! 🙂 PP is one lucky boy.
Wow, a super eggplant bag AND prescription goggles. I could have used both of those back in my swim team days. Peter is one lucky guy!
i think it’s nice and all, but I would rather hav a plate of your no coconut macaroons
ha ha!!!

That is one fabulous bag, Mariko. I bow to your sewing genius.
Just when I think you’ve reached the pinnacle of your wow! factor in your amazing creations, you outdo yourself once again.
I, too, want to know your label source.
