I’ve been trying not to add to my fabric stash, but I just can’t seem to help myself sometimes! Mrs. H told me about an online store called Sewzanne’s that has a nice selection of munki munki fabrics, so I couldn’t resist a peek. Here’s what came from them:
The sushi fabric is 100% cotton knit! It’s really hard to find decent and/or fun cotton knits. This is slated to become, I don’t know, pajama bottoms and maybe a cute little t-shirt for my mother. The dotted poplin is going to be used for the lining of a trench/car coat I’m planning to make. The outer fabric is going to be the munki munki ice cream truck fabric (which I ordered several days before I placed this order, and it still hasn’t come! Hurry, reprodepotfabric!)
I think that I officially think that you are NUTS now! Watch David Letterman on Monday…Pat’s band is on that night 🙂
i have pajama pants from munki munki in that sushi pattern! i love them so!
stumbled upon your site jumping around knitting blogs. i love your craftiness!
I simply cannot wait to see the car coat you make with this!!!
I’m sure you are waiting for my comment so I will oblige: There is no such thing as ‘enough’. There.
Funny, I was just ogling that mini sushi fabric the other day at Reprodepot. I love Munki Munki stuff, especially the ice cream truck fabric you mentioned… Now, of course, I’m tempted to go back and get the sushi fabric. But I, too, am trying not to add to my fabric stash. We’ll see if I succeed…
Oh, that sushi fabric is so cute! It would also make a really good lunch sack, if you were having sushi for lunch, I suppose.
I love that dot fabric. Thanks for the store link. A car coat made entirely from munki munki fabric!! Can’t wait to see it.
I’m with you on the fabric shopping. I take the pledge and make myself promise not to buy any more this pay period. Then I find a great website or I find myself in fabric store (how did that happen??) and I say…oh but if I don’t buy it, I’ll regret it.
I just found a killer online source of Japanese chiramen and seersucker and there goes my pledge.
Okay, you say in the next post that the weird and funky isn’t you, yet you’re making a ice cream fabric car coat with polka dot lining. Hmmm…how do you define funky? Go car coat woman!
