I know most of the knitblog world is off to Maryland right now, but the rest of us can still have fun, right? Well, I finally finished my top-down raglan cardigan! Tadaaaa.
I used the Incredible, Custom-Fit Raglan Sweater Generator, which you can find here. I must say I was a bit skeptical, mostly because I didn’t trust my measurements or math, but I am really happy with the sweater. I wanted a kicky little sweater I could throw on, and this really fits the bill. I used about 15 balls of GGH GOA in hot pink, and the zipper is a two-way zipper I ordered from Zippersource.
Here’s a glimpse at the back of the sweater. I used a cable pattern from one of the sweaters in Paton’s Street Style (at least I think that’s what it’s called):
Great job, Mariko!! How can you go wrong with pink 🙂
oooh! lovely cable work! well done 😀

I love it! Thanks for the link. The color is fab-u-lous and that cable on the back is cool! You are a knitting machine.
Are you referring to the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival this weekend? It looks so fun! Speaking of which, have you been to Lambtown in Dixon, CA? http://www.lambtown.com/
I was thinking of going this summer, and would love to hear from anyone who has attended before!
Great cardigan, by the way…
Cute! Cute! Love the cable detail on the back.
I love it! I’ve used the raglan generator before, and was happy with the results. But I’ve only used it for baby sweaters so far — might be time to try one for me.
It’s gorgeous! Love the cable in the back.
i love it! it’s definitely custom fit and i adore the cable in the back.
Beautiful! I love the pink!!
great color and i love how it’s deceptively plain 🙂

I love the *surprise* on the back! Very cute. 🙂
That is a gorgeous sweater! It looks absolutely perfect! I *really* must learn to knit!!!
The nearly-six-year-old looking on says, “Her pink shirt looks good!” I agree.
I clicked on the image to see if I could see the detail near the zipper. Did you knit a sort of garter stitch column, at the edge? And then pick up garter stich along the edge.
(I don’t know if what I’m asking is clear, but that looks like a column of alternating knits and purls just inside some garter stitch trim. Looks nice!
good job dude-er-onomy. miss ya!!
Very cute. How about you come to the party next year. I mean, Rachael and Silvia came…..
And Nathania.
Just sayin’.
I really like that pink! Thanks for the links to the raglan generator and zippersource.
That’s such a cute sweater! The cool cable on the back is a nice surprise, and I’m impressed by your zipper prowess. Great job!
