semi organized

We live in a pretty teeny house. I suppose if we had less crud it wouldn’t seem so teeny. Anyway, the front bedroom is our MPR (multi-purpose room. Remember when schools used to have separate cafeterias, gymnasiums, and auditoriums? No more. Now they have MPRs. I think that term is kind of funny, though, so I like to use it. MPR! MPR! Ha ha ha!). It is a guest room, sewing room, storage room, and Peter’s dressing room. Basically, it is a mess!
Yesterday I decided I needed to tackle it and get the other metal table in there and do some supereggplant-style organization (which is to say half-assed). It does make it easier to sew, but man, I need to stop stashing and stockpiling!

    Ooohhh, but how nice to actually have a space for sewing! And, a serger and two sewing machines!!! Heaven!

    I love your MPR! We have one too. About 12’x12′. The computer and all it’s paraphernalia, my stash, my sewing machine, book shelves, AND our guest pull out futon (which our Siamese claims as her own). Where are the Mission Organization folks when you need them?

    That looks pretty organized to me! We have a MPR too, and I think I might just have to rename it that–we always call it something different: guest room, tv room, office….Multi Purpose Room–perfect!

    this is why i need a house and not a small apartment in brooklyn!! i have exactly 6 sq ft of space for my crafting 🙁 it’s quite paltry.
