I was fortunate enough to receive one of the coveted spots in the Secret Pink Hair Accessory Swap hosted by the one and only Kat/Pinku. Today I got my hair accessories from Melinda, an Aussie living in Japan:
Cute, huh? And how cute is Melinda in that photo, clutching her giant box of melon Pocky! I feel like sticking all those hair accessories into my coif at once!
And for those of you who are curious about how that KnitPicks Shine yarn is, here’s a peek at the color cherry:
It’s kind of a strong tomato red, I think. Can’t wait to swatch it up!
Very cute hair accessories! Thanks for participating. I’ve been lagging a bit, and have to get to the PO to send mine off. BTW, that knitpicks shine looks yummy.
I got in but not an email for my partner… I think I need to send an email- once hotmail lets me in.
On the other hand I did get a special package, and even used it this morning!!! I love knitblogger friends 🙂
Luscious yarn and cutie barrettes. I can always count on Super Eggplant! 🙂
Ooh, please let me know what you think of the Shine. Anything that you would compare it too? And I’m curious what gauge it swatches up to. Is it really 24 sts/4 inches? LOL, I know lots of questions… curious minds want to know. 🙂
You know, in snail mail land there are 4 balls of shine with my name on them. In a green-y color. And I have a pattern picked out and I *hope* it’s really 24 sts/4in or I’m in trouble (on size 3 or 4s that is). Maybe we should have a shinealong since having XXXXXXXalongs is so cool. Wonder who else is knitting in shine…
Hi Mariko – I was contemplating Shine yesterday, hoping that it might be a summery cotton yarn without the typical cotton weight & bagginess. I wonder what Modal is. Does it have better drape than a 100% cotton yarn?
So glad you like the hair clips! 🙂
Ooh, that’s the first batch of hair accessories I’ve seen, and they’re cute – you’re lucky! I can’t wait for mine!
