Hey! I finally finished the bolero thing!
It actually turned out better than I had imagined. Those miles and miles of edging are in the past now. The pattern is from the summer 2005 Vogue Knitting, and I substituted KnitPicks Shine for the silk stuff they suggest.
Okay, I’m headed down to LA (that would be Los Angeles, not Louisiana) now. If you see an Asian person in desperate need of a haircut and wearing age-inappropriate clothing, why, that is probably me, so please say hello.
Cute bolero! Good job.
Cute bolero!
it looks great! Any tips on *attaching* that edging?
Cute bolero.
Please if you think that being “an Asian person in desperate need of a haircut and wearing age-inappropriate clothing” in LA will make you stand out in any way, you’ve got another thing comin’.
Have a good trip. 🙂
There is no ‘age-inappropriate’. If you can pull it off– and it seems you can, darlin’– you are cheering up the rest of us.
But please–it would kill you to get a haircut? (Not that we ever see the hair.) xox Kay
Very pretty!
Ole to the cute bolero! Have fun in lalaland! Going to any good restraunts? Kareoke in Koreatown? The fabric district? Disneyland?
ooh, it’s delightful and a really snappy color. i really dig boleros/shrugs. they’re simply perfect for us freezing folks.
Great job on the bolero; the edging is beautiful!! tee hee, not a chance of standing out in LA, even for the folks that try!! And since you brought it up, when you do get a haircut would you please let us see it?!!!
Yay!!! I’ve been debating making this and I love how yours came out!!! Have fun in LA 😀
Cute bolero, Mariko – great job on that edging. Have a great trip!
It’s super cute + I love the color! 🙂
you have GOT to be the FASTEST knitter, seamstress, crafter in the WEST!!!! HOW do you do it????….VERY CUTE….looks GREAT!!!
It did indeed turn out very cute, you are so talented.
that is so fancy with the edging! it looks great on you. i like the longer length too.
Nice job on the bolero!
I’m sure fit right in in LA!…age inappropriate clothing and 4 months between haircuts are the norm…asians, whites, blacks, hispanics…
