I ordered some coin purse frames from Sarah1980, and they flew here from Australia! They are pretty quick to put together, but I think there is a definite technique to getting the frame onto the fabric; I don’t quite have the knack just yet, but I think the coin purse came out okay, and it’s so much fun opening and closing the clasp!

You have the best eye for fabric combos! This is such a swanky coin purse, I’d actually use one like this myself. Maybe that way I could actually find change for the Coke machine w/o breaking a nail digging around in my purse!
Can you say “Ebay”? I would love to buy something like this. I made a knitting tote out of the outer fabric, which is my favorite. This coin purse reminds me of the older Latina ladies that lived on my block in Spanish Harlem. They used to tuck them in their bras. Too cute!
So cute!
i love it! And I wholeheartedly second the “can you say eBay?” comment 😉 who doesn’t love a snappy coin purse? 🙂
Great purse!
I love it, hmm Australia you say.. I will have to look around …
Cute!

Another place to look for purse and coin purse handels is always Lacis in Berkeley. They have a lot more there than on there online shop.
They even have the little snap frames that you see on the little asian coin purses.
very cute. i am impressed with your sewing ability. i get so easily frustrated with it. now that my oldest daughter wants to sew, I guess i am going to have to brush up on my admittedly rusty skills.
Wow! I have wanted to learn how to use those for a while now. Your of course looks great!
I think I’m going to have to look for some of those coin purse frames…how cute!!
so adorable! 🙂
When are they going up for eBay auction?
gah!
so cute! I love your fabric choices!
OOhh.. They are gorgeous. I’m totally inspired to add in some change purse frames with my order for magnetic snaps..
Too cute! I love it. Great fabric/color choice!
For someone who says they haven’t the knack for it, that coin purse came out pretty much perfect!
I’m drooling over that coin purse! So sweet and precious.
The coin purse is really cute!
So cute! Are those the sew-in type or the squeeze tight type? I saw some special tool to use for the squeeze tight variety (yes, that is a technical term!), and I considered checking that out… haven’t done it yet!
great fabrics! that looks like it would be a fun project.
Way too groovy! I’ve got one of this too but couldn’t figure how to tuck the fabric in. I’ve made some coin purses with similar snaps but those have in-built holes for sewing.
Way too cute!! Let me know if you are going to sell any:) I switched wallets and now have no coin purse. I keep waiting to see a cute one…now I have. I really need to learn to sew!
