I need my photographer

My photographer isn’t here, so I had to figure out the self-timer thing on my camera. It didn’t work very well. You’re lucky I’m not making you look at blurry photos of me waving my arms around. Anyway, I knit something! It took forever, but here it is, the Super Kay striped sweater!

You can tell I’m crouching down, can’t you, and you can probably see that my stripes are uneven because I cannot count. Anyway, the pattern is basically from Sarah Dallas’s Vintage Knits, which has loads of cute sweaters. I was gifted the yarn, Rowan Handknit Cotton DK, by the lovely and witty Kay. I love the colors, and the yarn is very soft and yummy. I adapted the pattern a bit to incorporate raglan sleeves, which I designed using the Knitware software I purchased at Artfibers. It worked! Another shot of the sweater, using the arm monopod instead of the self timer:

Okay, and now it might be a while before you see any completed crafty projects. I am going to try not to start any new knitting projects until after the move. TRY. Urgh.

Wowee! It’s key-oot. The green is so prominent (that’s a good thing in my book).
The perfect top to wear kayaking, I say.
I don’t see why you should add further stress to your move by making unreasonable rules like no crafting!
    Good luck with it all!

Oh! And I think the raglan sleeve is a huge improvement on the original pattern. xoxo Kay

Very cute. How about a sock project. They’re small…you won’t even notice them.

Good luck with the move! And good luck not starting anything until afterward; I made the same vow and ended up starting and nearly finishing a tank (except for the hem) between the time I packed and the time the movers unloaded everything at the new place. Then again, I had four days in my old place after the movers took all my furniture and my tv–what else was I going to do?

Yay, that turned out so incredibly cute. definitely a good review for the software – and I think the stripes are adorable. even schmeven, symmetry is overrated anyway. Good luck with the move!!

    hooray! Stripes! looks fantastic 🙂
and what’s that with not startinng *anything* before the move? You’ll need something to sooth you – go for something small and simple…or you could always crochet up some cat bits 🙂
