You know, some days I feel like the luckiest gal in the universe. Today was one of them, cuz look what the UPS man brought:
A friend just started an organic ice cream company, and dudes, he sent me ice cream! He sells it through
Manhattan Fruitier, I guess. Below those cute little samplers were these:
Yeah, when people talk about “going for a pint,” this is what I envision! These pints say Manhattan Glacier, but I think my friend’s company is called Three Bridges Ice Cream. You New Yorkers keep your eyes peeled for it!
Right now I am having the White Coffee little sampler, and it is so rich and smooth and creamy and delicious. Nice, true coffee flavor. I have a week to eat the two pints and all the little samplers. Do you think I will make it? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAAAAAA.
Lucky you!! Ice cream, organic no less, right at your door?? That is so great! 🙂 Good luck to your friend on the business venture.
Yum, sounds so good!
What a great stroke of luck! Enjoy your ice cream–I have faith in you, you can finish them off in a week!
Lucky, lucky you! Yum!
I wish i had a friend that sent me icecream in the mail. Do you want to introduce us?
if you can’t make it in a week, i can help you! send a little bit to Barcelona! 😉
peter’s going to be very surprised by the new size of his wife when you finally get to portland…
Wow! I wish I had that friend! Yum!
Ooh, pomegranate sorbet. What I wouldn’t give to taste some of that.
Post when you try the pomegranate sorbet. I love pomegranates, and I’m curious as to how they would taste as a sorbet.
A girl’s got to keep her strength up.
Manhattan Fruitier is the best. They’re more commercial than they used to be, but still excellent. When I had my son after 10 weeks of no fruit due to gestational diabetes, a friend sent to the hospital a Manhattan Fruitier basket crammed with apples. Many kinds of perfect small apples. Lady Apples, Fuji Apples, and I think even a Quince. I ate them all. xoxo Kay
luh-KEE!
Pomegranate sorbet! I started salivating at the thought. Maybe my shop could be his Portland outlet.
You must have the metabolism of a bleedin’ hummingbird, or else toenails the size of the Rosetta stone! Where DO you put it, honey-bun?
(Excuse me, I’m off to eat chick peas and carrots… bark-gruff-piss-moan-#$%$*%&!!)
I have no doubt you will get it all finished in time! Yum, it sounds great too!
Yummy yummy!
omg. to have friends like yours 🙂
if you need help, you can send some ice cream to help cool me off in still 100 degree Arizona 😉
yum yum!
You lucky gal!
Now I’ve to go look for a friend who works in an ice cream company or better still, a chocolate factory *drool*
Yum, this looks delectable. You have great friends 😉
Here’s the scoop on the ice cream: The brand Manhattan Glacier was created by Manhattan Fruitier. It is made in Brooklyn by a company named Three Bridges Ice Cream (which is basically a division of Manhattan Fruitier). That may be confusing, but the ice cream & sorbet are not – made fresh in small batches using NY State milk & cream, fresh seasonal fruit and other natural flavors.
Favorite flavor by show of tongues is Banana Chocolate Lace. But Pomegranate Ice Cream (in development) may be a serious contender.
If you’re in NYC, scoops of Manhattan Glacier are sold at Manhattan Fruitier (105 E 29 St in Manhattan) and pints will soon available in Gourmet Garage.
If you walk to get the ice cream, the calories don’t count.
I’ve had that brand be4! omg it is the best in the city, im so jelous! Manhattan glacier is my life. yummmmm.
