Okay, so here’s the Noro sweater in progress. I don’t know if the colors are overly saturated in the photo? It’s #102, I think. It’s reds and oranges and pinks and purples with a wee bit of green and blue thrown in for good measure. I love it.
The title of this post refers to instructions given to me by the pharmacist when he handed me my prescription decongestant (I have a sinus infection). I did not heed his advice, and as a result, I blacked out in a Japanese restaurant last night as I tried to get to the door. Doesn’t that sound like something that would happen to Carolyn?
I like the way your sweater’s lookin’…wish I could wear those colors! I’ve been to Portland, you can definitely wear a cupcake hat there!! Especially when it’s really cold, then anything you put on your head to keep it warm is understandable.
I would love to see you in a cupcake hat. Can’t wait to see it. Portland sounds like a great place to live. Hope you’re feeling better soon!
Mmmmmmmm deliscious colours! I love variegated yarn myself. I’m just learning how to knit and can’t wait to move on to things bigger and better than a bread box — although a hat or two does sound appealing! Can’t wait to see yours.
Yes, you should wear a cupcake hat, I got the kit for the snake scarf from Morehouse Merino to make for myself!! jane
I think Carolyn has too much of a spirit (or something) to be the passing out type.
I also think there is no reason whatsoever why you should not wear the cupcake cat, so go for it!
You know, I’ve never been a Noro fan, but I REALLY like that colorway. I’m all stashed out at the moment, but I have the put that on my list for when I dash out to the LYS next time.
Out of curiousity, which LYS do you go to in PDX? My current favorite is Knit Purl.
Dude, passing out is not good! Drink up…If you’re going to have a cupcake hat, why not call this Noro the birthday cake sweater?
I totally love it!
I hope you’re okay now. You know, it’s not really your fault. Someone telling you to drink 8 glasses of water per day is like someone telling you to floss daily. Yeah, it’s important, yeah, they’re right, but hey–it’s not like you’re gonna pass out or anything. Right?
Ohmygosh, cupcake hat! Agh!! I love it! Can barely contain my excitement!
And I hope you’re feeling better. Don’t stand up too fast! (I too have fainted in public.)
embarrassingly that has happened to me. several times (although i blame it on lack of food/blood sugar plummet, rather than lack of water! yuck! hee hee). i hope you were only out for a couple seconds!!
The cupcake hat is adorable! I can’t wait to see the pictures. Of all people, you could certainly pull it off. I mean, check yourself out in the Christmas tree hat. Heh. 🙂
Get well soon!
I just finished my cupcake hat last night!
Ugh! Please don’t pass out any more! That sounds scary… good way to get a big bump on the head!
I agree with Renata… I’ve never been a Noro fan either, but that colorway is great! What a happy, cheerful sweater it’s making (er.. you’re making?).
Thanks for sharing all your knitting and cooking experiments; it’s very inspiring! 😀
I love the cupcake hat. It is really adorable. I hope you are better and able to knit.
I’m so glad you’re making a Noro sweater, I’ve always wanted to make one but never have! The colorway is so cheerful!
