I ordered this great fabric from Reprodepot, and it arrived today!
I didn’t mean to be cryptic regarding the KnitPicks yarn. I’m planning to knit a simple fair isle vest. It will be my very first fair isle project!

oh mi god!!! That is one of the coolest fabrics EVER!!! I may just learn to sew so I can use cool fabrick like that to make me a needle case 🙂
dude. that fabric is sooooooooo cool. remember the raincoat-y, short jacket dealybop we used to talk about all the time. can’t you picture that in that fabric. my god i think i would keel over and die of happiness were i ever to see a jacket in that fabric in a store. and then i would buy it NO MATTER WHAT IT COST. as claudia would say: “i’m just sayin’, is all.”
as to the fair isle, are all those colors going in the same vest? you are going to be one beacon of rainbowness, aren’t you. then again, AREN’T YOU ALWAYS? (and i mean that in a good way. i dress that way myself, as you know.)
Aah! I’ve been eyeing that same fabric — though as a much-less-experienced seamstress I have no idea what I’d do with it…
I had a sneaking suspicion that you were going to knit a fair isle! I just did my first bit (of fair isle) and I really liked it…Go Supereggplant! Can’t wait to see your new bag 🙂
i bought this fabric in the yellow and green shades from there last year. i couldn’t bear to cut it up, so it’s now a wall hanging!

hoorah! fair isle! fair isle is fun, fabulous and amazingly addicting.
That fabric isn’t half bad either 🙂 can’t wait tto see what it becomes!
Ohhh, fair isle.. I’ve never done it before either… mind if I work along? I’ve always wanted to do it, but it’s so intimidating! What pattern are you going to do?
