my day at the mall

Armed with your lip gloss suggestions, I made my way to the mall today. I went to Nordstrom, where a nice boy representing Smashbox smeared some foundation on my face (it actually feels pretty light, but who am I kidding–I’m too lazy to actually use it on a daily basis) and helped me pick out a tinted lip treatment. I had been interested in the Photo Finish lipstick, but the colors were stronger than I seem to wear these days.
I also finally went to Forever 21 to redeem the gift card Peter got me for Valentine’s Day. I, uh, well, okay, so I started laughing when I was in there, because I would never wear 99.9 percent of the clothes in there. I am a T-shirt and jeans kind of gal! I wear fleece! I managed to find one little blouse, but that was it. I guess it’s been too long since I was 21.
Oh, and I did go to Bath & Body Works and pick up one of the Bigelow lip balms. So many of you spoke fondly of it, so I figured something must be going on! Thanks again for all your advice. Stay tuned for the next beauty question!

    Here’s something else I do- after I get out of the shower, I rub 4-5 drops of jojoba oil (Trader Joe’s has the best price and I keep it in a glass bottle w/ and eye dropper cap thing for easy dispening) between my hands and rub it all over my face, including lips. Then I rub on a small amount of Burt’s Bees Baby Skin cream. The skin around my nose and mouth was cracked and red from the dry winter air and it cleared up in about a week! It also doesn’t make me zitty like heavier skin moisturizers do. A few drops on the back of my hands healed the raw, sometimes bleeding dry skin there too…so now I can’t use the skin there as an emery board.
    On another note, HURRAH! for Meagan’s titties! 🙂

    I’m going to try to brave Forever 21 for the first time tomorrow – my coworker keeps showing up in these cute little tops from there. She tells me that unlike Gap & the like, Forever SluttyOne has different stock at different locations, so she’s hooked me up with the “good” one. We’ll see!

    Cheers for Meagan’s titties! That is the ‘breast’ news today!
    I too love the tinted lip balm from Bigelow. I use the blend that ends in 9. A nice red.

    I guess that’s why they call it “Forever 21″…its been forever since a lot of us have seen 21!
