Melissa and I have been working on our duct tape dress forms for the last couple of weekends. I finally finished mine today!

the back photo is hilarious, DH. it’s like it’s shadowing you! what a ripper! (a new one clare sent me yesterday!)
I love your pink duct tape dress form. So creative!
Oh how funny are thos pix! I adore your pink dressform with smallish boobages. Fab…
That dress form is great! I have been coveting my own dress form since getting addicted to Project Runway and deciding that I want to design all of my own clothes. I’ll have to make a duct tape form one of these days!
the photos are hysterical, but I hope it gets much use.
ps nice touch on teh pink ductape- who knew 🙂
What fun, you crazy girls!
I’m laughing WITH you, not AT you; loving the pink. Coveting a dress form except I couldn’t stand to really SEE my form. I prefer to have a positive self image! xox Kay
Very cute – I, also, sadly lack what makes a front a front, and not a back…(ps – love the cardigan!)
You are two kooky chicks!
Okay, which one of you is Lucy and which one Ethel?
how did you do that without suffocating!? I once tried to do this and we got halfway through the duct tape bit and I thought I was going to lose it – being all confined like that i could hardly breathe. what did you stuff it with? Is it on a stand? do tell us more!
That looks great! Maybe I’ll be motivated to actually finish mine now.
um-wow. I mean wow! that is amazing. and pink. did you actually use pink duct tape?? it’s like art. no, it is art!! call it art, I say.
Haha! I love the pink duct tape! Your rock!
Oops, I meat “you” rock…
Nice dress form – how do you make one? For you Bay Area peeps, just noticed today that dress forms are on sale at April Cornell goin-out-of-biz sale on 4th St. in Berkeley. Child sizes, too. Sale over Monday. Didn’t notice any particular “frontal protrusion” sizes, though.
Wow!!! I’ve wanted to make one of these for a long time. They are so cool. I got the instructions and have enlisted the DH to help, but he thinks I’m crazy.
Hot, hot. I want one. Maybe then I wouldn’t be surprised every time I try a sweater on for the first time….
Very very cool. Now I need to skip up to the next post and see if you told where to find the instructions to make one! Is it possible to make custom frontal protrusions?!? heh
I remember seeing how to make one those duct tape forms in I think Threads, and it’s fun to see how yours turned out.
