marinara techno tard

Today I made a big batch of marinara, recipe courtesy of the Hedster. It requires two giant cans of tomatoes.

It’s been a roller coaster of technical chaos today. I spent about 2.5 hours on the phone with Microsoft (an hour of that was on HOLD) trying to figure out why the file transfer wizard wasn’t working. I am learning quickly that those XP Wizards are the reject wizards who got kicked out of Hogwarts. I was feeling pretty hopeful, though, because I managed to get my laptop and my desktop to “see” one another. Unfortunately, they don’t want to talk to one another, and I can’t share files. I am also having trouble burning CDs on my desktop. Working on the computer is cutting into my knitting time (I’m pretty sure I’m not going to finish the Becky Wannabe sweater before my trip), and I still haven’t loaded any software. I think I’m just going to have to pay someone to come fix the beasts …
