Gimme Your Stuff, an international swap/exchange deal, sounded like a great idea that sounded even greater once I found Anjali‘s cute and crafty blog. Based in Japan, Anjali offered up for swap all manner of things that make my heart go pitter patter. Luckily, she did not catch on that I was a little too freakishly excited about swapping with her and thus agreed to a swap of fabrics, lip balms, and matcha treats.
In just over a week the mailman climbed up our stairs carrying a big blue padded envelope. He’s lucky I didn’t knock him down.
But wait, there’s more! My mother has a lip balm she got in Japan that has put me in a bit of an obsessive state. It’s called Sakura Pink, and though the balm itself is white, it goes on pink. I swear. Magic. I requested this balm from Anjali, and she came through.
what a great package!! The lip balm is especially interesting.
What a fun swap. I LOVE your new fabric!
I’ve been looking for that lip balm everywhere to no avail! Now that I have an image hopefully things will fall into place.
Hooray! Now I have to hurry up and take a picture of all the stuff you sent to me before I finish all the candy. Swedish Fish…so addictive!
Are those kids on the fabric on the left being followed around by…a piece of toast with legs? And maybe a walking milk bottle?
Dear lord those fabrics are gorgeous! You are *so* lucky!
Oh no! Now I want that Sakura Pink lipstick! Sigh– I guess I’ll have to become obsessive in looking for it here….
What a great swap package! The lip balm is too tempting.
cool lip gloss! does it also smell of sakura? that would be so nice.
i love the MA RI KO patches! i wonder if they have those in katakana as well… though my name is REALLY long in katakana 🙂
I think DHC has a similar product. They are from Japan too, so maybe its a thing there! I love DHC products by the way. The. Best. Skincare. Ever. 🙂

Is there anything fron San Jose region you’d like? I’d love to swap for some yarn, fabric, or once of your supereggplant-crafted goodness.
Caaaaaannndy? You’d have to point me to the stuff you want. Oh, and don’t forget the Japanese Candies from Aji Ichiban (it’d arrive faster from California, you know).
(I don’t have a Vox acct so I posted here. Hope that’s okay)
Thanks for sharing about this! I joined immediately upon reading your post. What a cool idea.
I am so jealous of those awesome fabrics, and the magaine. Looks like fun. I’d love to see what you do with the fabrics.
