the green scene continues

I think I kicked my fatigue thing! I caffeinated the yin yang out of myself yesterday, and that seemed to freak out my body enough to hoist it out of its fatigue hold. Weird. Anyway, I managed to finish up another Favorite Things skirt.

This fabric is a gingham that has little daisies on it. It’s 50/50, which made me hesitate, but then I decided I didn’t care, and really, that 50% polyester gives it the oomph it needs to hang and not stick to my underwear, which is a good thing.
Thanks for all the cheeky advice! Next time you see me, I will be all rouged up for sure.

The use of “not stick to my butt” and “cheeky” in successive sentences made me giggle. I love skirts year-around, and the sticking is the worst part of it all. It’s hard to appear ladylike picking at your skirt.

how terribly cute! and i love the red shoes with it (are those slippers or just little scuff shoes?)
very lovely, excellent job and if you can’t hear it, i’m applauding you right now!

if you’d just start wearing a thong you wouldn’t have to worry about the stick! you never listen to me 🙂

um, your skirt is laying pretty flat– did you leave out a panel? perhaps my ass is just too large and creates an explosion of fabric on the behind which aftershocks over into the front.
oh wait. it could just be that you are slim skinny little.

Oh I just love the things you sew. So inspring. I made my first dress last weekend. And it was only my second project ever so I am pretty proud of it – flaws and all!!
Keep sharing!! BTW – Love, love, love the green.

Good work! It looks so professional! I think I need to stop visiting your website, you’re giving me itchy fingers to take-up sewing clothes again after about a 20-year hiatus, but my goal is to stick to one craft right now: knitting.

  14. Kate says:
