Fall/winter is fast approaching, but I am determined to continue wearing skirts! I guess I need to get some tights. Anyway, I finally bought some strawberry-splattered brown corduroy I had been coveting, so out came one of the Machiko Kayaki books (I think it was Skirt a la Carte?) and then a skirt!
And speaking of Machiko Kayaki, Tania set up a flickr group for fans of Machiko Kayaki! Go check out the super cute skirt she just finished.
Okay, superbuzzy shop update should be up and going Wednesday, I think, so please go take a look (especially if you are into kitchen themes. Seriously).
Ooh how I covet the strawberry print!
Lovely skirt!
oh nice– and i see you’re going with the layering. good call.
I really looooooove your skirts. I am smitten to the point of being completely unable to comment lately.
SO cute, Mariko.
If you wear a dress over pants I will have to come to your house and kick you.
🙂 now I definitely have to finish that dress, and I just NEED to make more skirts …
the knee highs would have been serioously cool 😉

beautiful job on another Very Cute Skirt!
That skirt is so fabulous…super cute print! I never know when the socks are good or not. Hmn.
That is so cute! I love the look of your skirt with the pink flats.
That’s so cute! And very flattering. Would also be cute with boots for winter…. 🙂
this is good, so are the barbie shoes. and tights are good too. where, oh where did you get that fabric???
very cute skirt! i think that you’ve inspired me to seek out and find kayaki-san’s books!
Ooh, this is one of my very-favourites!
ooooh, love it! especially with the pink ballet crocs…a perfect match! (i want to see those neopolitan ice cream knee highs…they sound cute!)
That fabric is awesome. Need some. Superbuzzy…?
Oh yeah, the skirt is fantastic too, but then yours always are.
Such a pretty skirt! You are too cute.
WOW! i really like the skirt. And i check your blog almost every day.
I’m a beginner at sewing and i’m just wondering if the machiko kayaki patterns would be too complicated for a beginner to follow?
Thanks very much!!
