I got my very first Angry Chicken mailorder package today! Now tell me again why I waited so long to get one? Oh, right, it’s because all you nutty bloggers out there bought up all the copies before I could get my order in! Well, thank goodness I was finally able to get in on the mailorder action! That Amy is certainly very clever, and mailorder is full of goodies. I had been thinking about making pumpkin cake recently, so you can imagine my delight when I noticed the mailorder recipe was pumpkin spice cake. I promptly whipped it up, and yes, it’s delicious and spicy!
I just got mine too – I had never been lucky enough before either. That pumpkin bread looks fantastic – I can’t wait to make it! Yum!
I bet that pumkin spice cake works way better than the antibiotics! Hope you are feeling better, donut.

I made the cake on Sunday and I’m embarrassed to admit that my guy and I have already eaten the whole thing! Oink oink.

oooh, the cake did look delicious. i made red velvet last week though and feel like it’s probably good to take a week off between cream-cheese-icing-overdose… we (that would be 2 of us) polished off the whole batch in 2 1/2 days. oof.
I made that exact same cake on FRIDAY (the day before my package arrived and two days before I actually opened it!) for my daughter’s birthday party. I got my version of the recipe from a children’s book called “Old Witch’s Magic Nut Cake.”
