I am so ashamed. I live in California. Go ahead and laugh. I hope to be able to laugh about it at some point, but right now I just feel like weeping. Since I don’t like to be sad, let’s take a look at the cutest little saran wrap in the world:
I put my hand (which looks really weird in the photo) in there for scale. The wrap is tiny! Of course, it’s from Japan, where they dominate in all things cute and miniature.
The sleeves of the Becky Wannabe sweater are blocked (Claudia, I used Bonne Marie’s method of rolling up the sleeves in a wet, spun-dry towel, letting them rest, then pinning them out), but I don’t feel like seaming tonight, so I am not going to. Last night I started a chemo cap for my friend Megan (she starts chemo this Friday), but I am going to frog, since I think it might be too small. She tells me she has a big head. So, I think I will either start that one over (I’m using Crystal Palace Fizz) or start on the devil hat. Of course, this all depends on whether I can knit through tears. Governator. Sob.

SuperEggplant….hey, you know you are not alone in your misery. I was holding out hope that Californians still have brain cells. Sadly, too many think that a racist, misogynist, dumkopf Governator is what this state needs. I feel like something good about our state died yesterday. Maybe I should knit up some black armbands??
About the election: Heaven help us!
About the chemo cap: I am about halfway through chemo. I found a SIGNIFICANT difference in the size of my head (with hair/without hair). In fact, I originally knit several hats that were too big. Just a cautionary note…

about the chemo cap: I have a big head too, have to wear the hats with at least a 24″ diameter, but when i went thru chemo and all my hair fell out it turned out that i mostly just had big hair!! Just so you know! I also made a couple hats for myself before chemo and they were HUGE! 🙂
I know it’s sooo embarrassing. I am considering travelling around the state smacking the folks who did this…

As for tiny… We have Uwajimaya here in Seattle… Tons of tiny Japanese things that I love! (Like the Hello Kitty colored pencil set with wee pencils, sharpener, eraser and colored paper in a case smaller than a credit card…. FAB!)
