Instead of seaming the Becky Wannabe sleeves, I finished Megan’s first chemo cap. When I first put it on, Peter said, “So you decided to wrap some seaweed around your head, didja?” (Later he said it is actually more like moss than seaweed.)
You can’t tell in this photo, but I used a different hairy yarn at the bottom for a wee bit o’ contrast. Another thing Peter said was, “You’re not going to put that on your blog, are you? People will think we’re crazy.” Hee hee.
We had to watch Threat Matrix tonight because it featured a BASENJI! Woohoo! Yup, an ebola-spreading little basenji straight from the dreaded CONGO. The tricky little dog would LICK people, thereby spreading the deadly disease. Hello, but Deedle only licks people when they have food or water smeared on them. The breed is not a licky licky doggy dog. They do other, more creative things, which Marcia can attest to.

LOVE the gallery. very fun. what is that mccall’s pattern may i ask? didn’t know you were a sewer too – now my whole picture of you has changed!!! (just kidding, i am delirious this morning…)
Please believe I mean this sincerely as a great compliment: the hat looks like a Chia Pet! I think that rocks.
I am in total love with the purse skirt.
Hi Mariko, the gallery looks really good, as does all your stuff. The purse skirt is very cute. I really enjoy reading your blog.
I like the hat…green, furry, what more could one ask for? Which McCall’s pattern are the extremely cute orange pants?
I think that hat is gorgeous. And I love the cell phone case!
I love the green mossy hat. You’re very kind to your friend. It would be so scary to loose your hair. It’s good that you are supportive.
