I am sooo happy!!!

Today I was excused from jury duty! Yippee! I was getting very, very nervous about it, actually. The week began with 127 potential jurors, and we were down to about 25, and it was not looking good. They managed to select a jury right after lunch, but then they had to select 4 alternates! Well, I was potential alternate #1. The four potential alternates had to go in the jury box, but we got asked very few questions, which I took to be a bad sign. The prosecution dismissed the lady sitting next to me, so I was feeling doomed until the second round, when the defense attorney dismissed me! Yay! I don’t know if it was the novelty T-shirt I was wearing or my beautiful new shoes , but whatever it was, I am grateful.
By the way, my husband looked at this page and asked me who Justin Timberlake is and whether I liked him. It’s kind of scary how much power and control my crazy brother has over this page.
