Okay, Megan, you can lose your hair now, because I finished a second cap for you! I’m a little embarrassed to post this photo, because, well, I look insane (and the sad part is this is probably how I really look!):
The devil cap was quite fun to knit. I used a super soft Merino wool that has some poly schmoly stuff mixed in (full details in the gallery).
I got a little travel cup of Sour Skittles at Target yesterday. They eat the enamel off my already sensitive teeth and make my teeth feel really weird when I brush them, but I don’t care, because they are addictive and tasty.
Thanks for all the nice comments on my Becky Wannabe sweater!

Awesome devil hat! I made one for a friend last winter, only she wanted hers black with red horns. You reminded me that I’ve got the leftover black yarn for a kitty hat for me. Yeah, like that’s going to happen anytime soon.
Skittles make my jaw hurt. Why they gotta be so hard to chew?
You little devil, you ;)! Pretty cool! I’m making a kitty hat for my niece. She’ll be a cat for Halloween because Aunty says so :)!
Well I know the occasion for making the hat isn’t very happy, but that is one great hat! I’m sure your pal will wear that one long after her hair grows back. I made several chemo caps for one of my friends and she seemed to wear the soft fuzzy at home and in bed and a black and white and red one from Knitters in 2000 I think. It was “kind” of pillbox modular knitting. Fun to make. I’ll look for the pattern tomorrow.
On a different note, no Skittles, sour or otherwise will ever again pass these lips since the rainbow vomit experience, induced by Skittles overindulenge at age 8-ish…
Ooooo… Love the hat! (BTW, love Becky Wannabe too!) Where did you get your curtains??? Too cool!
looks pretty cool you crazy devil lady you!!! 🙂 i am set to make Louise a couple of cancer/chemo caps too but i don’t know if she’d wear that… i’ll have to ask!!!
Love the hat (and all of your other crafty endevours)! I’ve been eyeing that pattern for a while – I love that they have a kid’s version too! I think you have inspired me to take that on before Halloween ;->
I spy . . . a red devil cap and . . . a Garnet Hill shower curtain (is it Marimekko?). (Hey, I read Home InStyle on the plane ride back. Us ol’ ladies have to work hard to stay on top of the latest in bathroom trends.)
I really really like this devil hat. Your gallery looks like you’re having lots of fun. Sorry I can’t knit, but sure wish there was a crochet pattern for it. I am doing charity crochet projects for preemies and adults. Also making some things for the women’s shelters where I live in NM. Just wanted to say, great job. Pandora
