Bake on

I just wrote a review for Candy Addict on a recipe for Leftover Easter Candy Cake, but it’s just so tasty that I decided to discuss it here as well.

I know, it doesn’t look that pretty, but trust me, it’s delicious! It’s essentially a pound cake (the sucker has 2 sticks of buttah in it) with leftover candy mixed in. You want to be careful to pick decent candies. Nobody wants to bite into some gummy jellybean wedged inside a cake, after all. I used mostly chocolates, but I felt it was my duty to include some marshmallow Peeps as well. If you go to the Candy Addict review, there’s a link to the recipe and some more information about the cake, too.

I have enjoyed visiting your blog for over three years, and each time it’s a big treat to read. This cake looks lethal!

Well, now! I’m all for using leftovers in creative ways, but never have I encountered a cake which incorporates leftover candy. This would inspire one to have an excess of candy on hand, with the cake in mind! Thank you, Ms. Eggplant.
