Last weekend I had half a coffee milkshake at dinner, and it got me so wired that I stayed up too late and made a dress.
The pattern is pretty cute. I don’t know if you can really tell, but the front and back are gathered and held together by a fabric rope, if you will. It’s loose and comfy and has a cute pocket. Check out the detail here:
wow, super cute! I wish I could sew… I want to make skirts and things especially since I am too tall to fit the skirts in the stores, but I would probably be too busy, since I am a full time college student. meh T_T
I love your blog, I’ve been reading it for a while now, and this is my first time commenting… It’s fun to read about all the funny stuff you do! ^_^
totally kawaii! next time take 2″ off the length…show some leg, hot stuff! i see you again, remind me to chew on your delicious veins. i am obsessed with veins in hands! yummy!thanks for hanging out last week.
Totally something I would do after a coffee milkshake, LOL. Darling print. Love the pocket!
Ooh, I love the simplicity of the dress–and its cute details. I think I need a new dress!!
What gorgeous fabric and such a pretty dress! I wish I had more patience to do something like this – maybe one day….
That’s a perfect summer dress, so pretty and comfy! Love the pocket detail.
I made my daughter a really similar dress a few weeks ago. I love stuff that goes together quickly and looks cute.
That’s really cute. My knitting needle organizer is made with that fabric!
That turned out really cute. My knitting needle organizer is made from the same fabric!
love the dress! well at least that’s a good use of a milk shake.
yesterday, I made myself a milkshake however it didn’t result in a super cute dress like that (or any sewing or productivity for that matter)!
Cute!! I love the bright red fabric. =)
hella cute!! wow! god, I love it.
Geepers creepers! I have the same book and have just cut out the fabric for the same pattern. It’s next in my sewing queue! You look cute.
Oh, that dress is just darling. Those pockets are to die for! I love cutesy little touches like that. Unfortunately, I am not much of a sew-er…but I really want to be!!
Thanks for mentioning the book you used and the ISBN no. That is really helpful!
It’s really pretty…
ahhhhhh too cute! looks so comfy, perfect for summer. *jealous* (^_^)’
I love that dress… everything about it! The fabric, the cut, the pockets, and so on. Where, oh, where does one find the pattern book???
I’d love to make something like that.

That dress looks fantastic! Although I suspect too many coffee milkshakes in a row would lead to burnout, even though your wardrobe would be fabulous.
it’s gorgeous! did it take long?
Very cute! I love all the little details and the fabric is just great 🙂
