Things have been pretty busy around here. In the midst of our remodeling chaos, superbuzzy moved into a warehouse space! It was getting to the point where we had to drive boxes of fabric around town because we had no more room in the house for it.
We had a great crew of friends who were generous enough to devote a Sunday morning to helping us move. The warehouse is quite large, but can you believe it is already full? Here it is at the beginning of the move:
Here are the Melissas standing in front of a mountain of inventory!
We’re still working at getting things organized, but the space has already made our lives much easier. It’s hard to believe, but we’re coming up on our one-year anniversary later this month. Superbuzzy has grown tremendously over the past year, and Kelly and I are very grateful for all your support! We’ve got even more new product coming in, and we’re gearing up for a big update and our first sale. I think it’s safe to say I’m not going to have a ton of time for personal sewing projects in the next few months!
Wow a warehouse!! And it’s already been a year. You girls have done an amazing job – congrats on all the success! You both deserve it!
Congratulations, how exciting! Are you amazed, or did you always know you could make it work? That really is a big deal, so happy for you.
Holy Japanese fabric goodness! Can’t wait to see the new space in person one of these days. =)
So glad you’re back. That’s quite an impressive warehouse there! =)
I will just tell you that I was into the warehouse this afternoon to pick up my order and it is amazing. I loved getting a chance to see Melissa (sorry to have missed you) and to see all of the wonderful inventory you have. [I am quite excited for the sale later this month].
Now I will admit that when I think of warehouse I think of a dark and industrial place your space is amazing. I love the floors and warmth that the place provides oh and your building mates are nice too.
Take care
Wow! Congratulations! And that really is an incredible warehouse space.
Congrats on the warehouse and all your success! I wish I had a warehous full of Japanese fabrics!!
PS. Do you remember the cute little amigurumi tomato you posted some time ago on your blog? You posted a link ot the pattern PDF and I was wondering if there are anymore free patterns on that site? I found the homepage but my Japanese isn’t good enough to find any other patterns from it! Thanks if you can let me know 😉
Congrats on the warehouse space! I’m sure it’ll be much easier for you since you’ve got a ton of stock there. Good to see the blog back too…
hurrah! That’s very attractive for a warehouse; wood floors should be easier on your body than the concrete floor I was imagining.
And I can’t believe you said “sale”! awesomeness.
I have been reading your site for over a year now and I am so excited that your business is expanding! The warehouse space looks wonderful and there is so much stock! From the photos on Flickr, it looks like your office space is ground level and has a big window and door in front — are there any plans to open a fabric store?? Please keep us updated!
Whoa…any chance you need someone to guard the inventory? ;o)

Moving is such a daunting task – so nice that you found friends to help out! Congratulations!
what a gorgeous floor! did it used to be a roller rink?! did you strap on some skates before you filled it up?
I’m glad you’re back and that business is that good, I was affraid your brother commandeered your blog. Scary! 😉
great! =)))
I love your shop.
I’m a repeat costumer 😉
