It’s Halloween here in Japan, which does not really mean anything except perhaps there will be fewer pumpkin-flavored treats. Would it surprise you to learn that Baskin Robbins here has tasty ice cream with really interesting flavors?
And they are festive! Can you see the giant pumpkin caps worn by the enthusiastic employees? We had pumpkin pudding ice cream, and we also won a PRIZE–a Halloween-themed blanket!
And let’s not forget our friends at Beard Papa. They had pumpkin cream puffs!
Yum. The pumpkin flavor wasn’t as strong as I had hoped, but it was still delicious. I don’t know how they get the exterior of those puffs so delicate and crisp!
Okay, I have to go shower now before my mother kicks my ass (pardon the crude language).

1. Beard Papa is possibly the best thing to come out of Japan, and I’m so happy we have them in China too.
2. Re: bras, it’s true. So sadly true. I thought the same when I came here but they’re just gaudy foam things. Is there a Marks and Spencer or something there? Because the ones in HK make the best bras, they have special petite sized ones and the normal ones are sized down as well.
3. I love pumpkin cream puffs. The chestnut from last fall was nice as well. My least favorite theme was strawberry, because the cream part wasn’t the same. It was just strawberry fluff.
