Really, the only people looking at this page should be premeds and you should have a bit more sense than to ask things like this following email:

I was wondering perhaps you have an arrest record or because your (sic) international that they reject you?? It just boggles my mind. Did you get any waitlists??

But first, some easy answers:

• I don't completely know why I didn't get in.
• I asked why I didn't get in and the admissions committees had no answers for me. Some even told me, "I don't know why you weren't selected."
• I've been on waitlists. The latest in the cycle I received a rejection letter is about three weeks into the school year.
• I'm not trying again.

Before you ask questions, do some homework. Click on some of my other links. Just because my first name is "Hisashi" doesn't mean I wasn't born in Portland, Oregon (I was), that I'm not a U.S. Citizen (I am), and that I'm not an Eagle Scout (I am, even though I no longer support the Boy Scouts of America.)

Just because they've always told you that hard work will get you your heart's desires doesn't mean it's true. There's a lot of luck involved in life and I'm kind of tapped out right now.

I can't tell you to avoid applying to medical school. I will tell you that it, in part, had left me without a job, bitter, and without much confidence. Maybe when you're approaching 40, you won't be living with your parents or applying for jobs tutoring beginning computer students with a degree from MIT. But my problems are my own and anti-depressants didn't do much to help me with it.

These are schools I've applied to and, therefore, the schools that have sent me rejection letters. Although one of the 'Senior members' of studentdoctor.com accused me of collecting these things (a stupid and expensive hobby at best), my intent was to get at least one acceptance letter. I didn't care how many rejection letters I received as long as there was one "fat envelope."

I didn't get a fat envelope.

Some of the rejection letters are missing because I didn't complete all the secondaries.
